The year is 2387. Following the Dominion War the Federation is now returning to normal, with Star Fleet returning to the roles of exploration and discovery. However the lessons of the past have not gone unlearned. The new ships are better equipped scientifically, defensively, and offensively than the ships of the past.
The USS Freedom is the first ship of its kind. Commissioned in 2386, the first of the new Majestic Class of Frigates. Designed not only to expand the boundaries of knowledge through exploration, but is capable of hosting the diplomatic functions necessary to keep things running smoothly.
From diplomatic missions and conferences to treaty negotiations and first contact, from investigation and exploration of the unknown to answering a call for help; the Freedom is equipped to handle whatever comes its way. The Freedom may be capable of rolling out the red carpet, but she also stands ready to defend the freedom for which she was named.
Her crew lives by the credo of Libertas est non Solvo – Freedom is not Free.

CURRENT MISSION: Shore Leave
The Freedom is heading home and what could have led to war has been settled. The leaders of an extremist group, and there followers have been exposed and dealth with by the Romulan government. Currently docked at Star base 47 for repairs to the ship and some well earned time off for the crew.
